These cubs are looking to be named _ by you.
Auckland Zoo is inviting the public to submit names for the 6-week-old Sumatran tiger trio, and an online competition runs until August 29.
Fewer than 400 Sumatran tigers are left in the wild, and the $10 donation for each entry (one name for one cub) will go towards conservation efforts to protect the species from extinction.
Zookeepers will choose the best three names _ preferably ones with meaning _ for each cub after the deadline. An online vote will then decide on the name for each, to be announced on September 8 during Conservation Week.
The sex of the cubs will not be known until mid-August, so unisex names are suggested.
