The play was handpicked by international scouts to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe festival last month and has received rave reviews nationally and internationally.
"We've sold over three-quarters of the seats for Nick," said Ms Cherry-Campbell.
The show is supported by PGG Wrightson and is a fundraising event for Kuranui College.
Kuranui principal Geoff Shepherd said he was delighted the college had the opportunity to present the play.
"Nick's story teaches us all a little something about endurance, perseverance and a love for life and Renee's performances will give our drama students something to aspire to."
The event is limited to 200 tickets.
Duncan Fletcher, regional manager for PGG Wrightson Wairarapa, is not surprised the show is proving popular.
"I've seen the play myself and it's a really great true story and inspirational.
"It's great to support talent with Wairarapa links as well, as Renee's parents live in Carterton."
Organisers expect Nick to sell out and tickets to international comedian Wilson Dixon's show too.
Volunteers are needed to help promote the festival as well as ushers, security, front-of-house managers, drivers and photographers.
