A three-year-old boy has been flown to hospital after being hit by a car near Nelson this afternoon.
Police say the boy was struck by an oncoming car when he ran out between two vehicles on Commercial Street in Takaka.
The boy has been flown to Wellington hospital with suspected head injuries.
