Three teenagers have been arrested over a series of thefts this week.
The teenagers, aged 14, 15 and 17 years allegedly stole two cars in Masterton on the night of April 23. They are alleged to have used the stolen cars to carry out a series of raids on shops and petrol stations in Masterton and Carterton.
Detective Sergeant Tracey Calder of Wairarapa CIB said they then allegedly burgled the Horseshoe Cafe and Bottle Store where they stole alcohol.
"It's then alleged they drove to another bottle store in Carterton and used one of the stolen vehicles to ram the front window. However, the alarm was activated and the offenders fled," she said.
The teenagers are also alleged to have stolen petrol from several petrol stations in Masterton and Carterton before attempting to drive to Wellington.
