Three teenagers from Tauranga have been arrested after around 30 burglaries at the Parachute Christian music festival in Hamilton.
Police say the 17-year-olds arrested were not ticket holders, and had illegally gained entry with the intent to target easy pickings in unsupervised tents.
Around 34 burglaries occurred at the festival last year and 15 had been reported by Sunday morning.
Police are advising people attending festivals over the summer months to keep valuable belongings on them at all times.
