Three seriously injured

Two women and a 14-year-old girl were seriously injured after two vehicles collided at the intersection of State Highway 4 and State Highway 47 near the National Park township shortly after noon yesterday.

The male driver of the second vehicle received minor injuries. Fire services had to cut the girl free and she was flown by helicopter to Waikato Hospital.

A second helicopter was called to transport one of the women, while the other was taken by ambulance.
