Three separate trials resulting from a gang shoot-out at Wairoa last year have come to an end.
It has taken a month instead of the six weeks originally allocated for the consecutive trials to run their course in the High Court at Wellington.
There were 19 accused in total, divided into three different Mongrel Mob factions.
When the first began on October 31 Justice Alan MacKenzie suppressed all evidence to avoid prejudice against the accused in the second and third trials.
Charges included participation in an organised criminal group, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and unlawful possession of firearms.
