Three of four people accused of the murder of a man in a Rotorua park have pleaded not guilty.
A 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, who have been granted interim name suppression, and Simon Meka Herewini, 20, unemployed, appeared in the High Court at Rotorua this morning acused of the murder of Polish man Roman Skorek.
Through their lawyers they each pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Skorek, who was found dead in Kuirau Park on January 23.
Justice Graham Lang set a trial date for February 11 next year and told the court the trial is expected to take three weeks.
Rotorua Crown Solicitor Fletcher Pilditch said that now that the 14-year-old and 15-year-old were in the High Court name suppression would need to be argued.
