Three national basketball league teams will be part of the Highwayman Motel invitational tournament to be held at the Genesis Recreation Centre in Masterton on Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16.
Palmerston North Jets, Taranaki Mountaineers and last year's NBL runners-up Hawke's Bay Hawks will be joined by a Wairarapa invitation side which will include a former Tall Black in Kent Moori and three or four local players.
It is intended that two games will be played on the Friday with the winners meeting in the grand final and the losers in a playoff for third and fourth the following night.
A number of the NBL players will also be involved in a coaching clinic for secondary school players to be held on Saturday morning while in the afternoon the three NBL coaches will take the Wairarapa men's and women's representative sides in a skills session.
