Three more boys at Palmerston North Boys' High School are suspected to have developed active tuberculosis.
MidCentral Health has been testing all 1800 students, teachers and families after a Year 9 student was hospitalised with tuberculosis on August 16.
Acting medical officer of health Lester Calder said last night the three boys, who had been in contact with the first boy, had showed signs of active tuberculosis, but that would not be known for several months.
