Three men injured in forestry accident

Three men were injured, one seriously, in a forestry accident near Nelson this morning.

Emergency services were called to the accident scene at Spur Rd, in the forestry area of Golden Downs at 7.42am.

One man with serious injuries and two with moderate injuries were flown to Nelson Hospital by rescue helicopter, police said.

It was not yet known how the men were injured and police, the Department of Labour, and the forestry company were all investigating.
