Three Dunedin men are facing criminal charges after an English tourist was seriously assaulted in the inner city yesterday (Sunday).
Senior Sergeant Mel Aitken said the 21-year-old Englishman received moderate facial injuries and remained in hospital last night after the 6am assault in Princes St.
The incident happened near Melville St, as the visitor walked towards his accommodation in South Dunedin, Snr Sgt Aitken said.
