Two children and a woman have died and two other people are seriously injured after a crash near Auckland this afternoon.
Two cars collided about 3.40pm on SH16 about 8km south of Helensville.
Three people in one car died; the driver, a woman, an 11-year-old boy and a baby.
A six-year-old girl in the same car and a man in the other car were seriously injured.
Police said State Highway 16 has now reopened.
