Three killed in car crashes at weekend

Three people died in car accidents at the weekend.

A 17-year-old woman died when her car crashed in the main street of Dannevirke early yesterday.

A police spokesman said the local woman crashed into a fence.

A man died when a vehicle slid off State Highway 3 between Stratford and Inglewood in Taranaki yesterday around 4am.

Another man died when his car crashed into a tree near Hamilton on Saturday.

Three other people in the vehicle were injured and taken to Waikato Hospital.
