Three people have been hurt, one seriously, in a light plane crash north of Otorohanga in the Waikato.
Details of the incident are sketchy but a spokesman for the police northern communications centre said the two other people had moderate injuries.
The spokesman said the accident was reported at 12.23pm when the light plane landed about 5km north of Otorohanga and went into a ditch.
The Fire Service and St John Ambulance paramedics attended.
The police spokesman said the Civil Aviation Authority would likely be investigating the incident.
