Two people have been taken to hospital after a two-car crash in which one car burst into flames.
Emergency services were called to the crash at the intersection of Bleakhouse Rd and Macleans Rd in Howick at 3.42pm.
St John transferred two people to Middlemore Hospital with moderate injuries. A third person walked away with minor injuries.
Fire and Emergency shift manager Daniel Nicholson said two fire appliances attended the crash to put out a car which had caught fire. Nicholson said no one appeared to be trapped.
A police spokesperson said a car had crashed into the fence of a nearby property.
