Three people appeared in court today following a raid on a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory in the upmarket Auckland suburb of Remuera yesterday close to the home of city mayor John Banks.
Phan Phu Pham, 36, Lan Mai Thi Pham, 30, and Tuan Anh Huynh, 27, appeared in Auckland District Court today charged with possession for supply of methamphetamine.
Phan Pham was remanded in custody, while the other two were granted bail.
Police said the scene examination was expected to continue for the next few days. Some stolen electrical equipment was still at the scene.
Nine people, including six police officers, went through decontamination showers yesterday after the raid.
