KEY POINTS:
Police have arrested three men after an armed robbery at a United Video store in Nelson last night.
Nelson police sergeant Blair Hill said at 10pm a masked man, armed with a pistol, entered the store and demanded money from the female assistant.
The man then left the store and got into a waiting vehicle.
Mr Hill said police later located a vehicle of interest in Washington Valley in Nelson.
A 17-year-old Nelson man, and two Motueka men, aged 17 and 15, had been charged with armed robbery and would appear in Nelson District Court this morning.
Mr Hill praised the shop assistant who remained calm and followed the robbers' instructions.
