Three people passed out from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at a house in West Auckland tonight. Police say they may have been using a barbecue indoors.
Two adults and a child were found unconscious at the house on Barrys Rd in Glendene, a police spokeswoman said. All three patients are now responsive.
St John ambulance officers called police to the house around 9.45pm, she said.
It appeared the people had been poisoned by carbon monoxide while using a barbecue indoors, the police spokeswoman said.
A Northern fire service spokesman said fire officers attending the scene had not been able to find a gas leak or identify the gas using a gas detector.
