The Auckland City Council had received 386 submissions by yesterday on its concept plan for the Tank Farm - the largest project in the history of the city.
Aucklanders have three days left to have their say on setting the rules for the 35ha of contaminated dockland to the west of the Viaduct Harbour.
The council wants feedback before notifying a district plan change on May 31 to rezone the land from marine industrial to marine, commercial, residential and open space.
Once the change is notified the public can comment further.
The council would not say what messages it was getting. However, a campaign being run by Heart of the City has found overwhelming opposition to building apartments on the headland.
Heart of the City spokesman Greg McKeown last night said a website set up on Monday had received feedback from more than 800 people.
Mr McKeown said 85 per cent of respondents disagreed with apartments on the headland and most of those "strongly disagreed".
