KEY POINTS:
A man who allegedly failed to stop after a traffic incident was finally caught by police after three pursuits in the Lower Hutt area today.
Police had been looking for the man since yesterday and he was spotted in a blue Mitsubishi Galant today.
Patrols began two chases but abandoned both because the man was allegedly driving dangerously.
The third pursuit ended with the man's capture in Cambridge Terrace, Lower Hutt, about 2pm after road spikes were deployed and he drove over them.
A 24-year-old man was arrested without further drama and faces dangerous driving and failing to stop charges.
