KEY POINTS:
The real estate agent listing Temuera Morrison's lakeside lodge in Rotorua is fielding an average of three calls a day about the property.
Last Saturday, the Weekend Herald reported that the actor had decided to sell the luxury 8850sq m property, which includes a swimming pool and cabana bar set in tropical gardens, because of tough times in the movie business.
Real estate agent Tim O'Sullivan said that during the week he had received a range of local and overseas inquiries. "Considering all the doom and gloom in the market, the response has been quite good so far."
Mr O'Sullivan, of Duncan Realty, said no offers had been received, but that was generally the case when properties were put up for tender, which closes on October 22.
Morrison told the Weekend Herald he had paid "a couple of million" for the property four years ago and hoped to get at least that from any buyer.
The site, at Kawaha Pt on Lake Rotorua, was valued at $2.4 million a year ago.
