Three people, including a child suffering from smoke inhalation, have been assessed by ambulance staff at a house fire in Pokeno.
Although the house was well ablaze when firefighters arrived at about 7.30pm, St John Ambulance says none of the three has had to be taken to hospital.
A Fire Service spokeswoman says four pump appliances and two water tankers are at the scene, having been called out from Mercer, Papakura and Tuakau.
She said there was nobody still in the house, which was "well-involved" when the fire crews arrived, but they called an ambulance to assess the child for smoke inhalation.
