A Northland truck driver and two women have been charged with stealing tens of thousands of dollars of goods from a national courier company.
The driver, 40 and the two women, both 22, appeared in Whangarei District Court yesterday and were remanded in custody without plea.
Detective Constable Storm Sandilands of Whangarei police said they faced charges of stealing computers, mag wheels, tools, clothing, sports equipment and other goods from the Whangarei depot of the company which she would not name.
She said police were being helped by the courier company and a private investigation firm and the investigation was focused on an employee at the depot.
Whangarei and Auckland police executed several search warrants early Monday seizing the stolen goods, some from a vehicle.
