Three men have been arrested following a Christchurch street brawl at the weekend in which police say pot plants, a spade, baseball bat and a metal street sign pole were used as weapons.
The Saturday night fracas in the Dallington area of the city involved two groups of men, police said.
Three men were injured, with one hospitalised with an 11cm cut to his head and significant cuts and bruises to his body.
Another was knocked out and treated for a minor head wound and cut. They were both discharged from hospital on Sunday morning.
A third man is reported to have received multiple bruises to his back and body.
