Three men have been arrested following a triple stabbing in south Hamilton overnight.
The men were arrested this afternoon following police inquiries and information supplied by the public, Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Thornton said.
Three males, aged 13, 17 and 22, were taken to Waikato Hospital after being stabbed in the attack in Bader Street in suburban Melville.
One required surgery and remained in hospital in a serious but stable condition. The other two had since discharged themselves.
"Given the violent nature of the initial incident, members of the Waikato armed offenders squad were used to support the searches that were carried out in the Melville area throughout the day," Mr Thornton said.
