Police and ambulance officers were attacked as they dealt with a crash in West Auckland last night.
Emergency services were called to a serious motor vehicle crash in Te Atatu, which left several people in hospital with injuries.
Senior Sergeant Craig Turley said that while police were dealing with the victims, three men showed up and started causing havoc.
He said they attacked police and ambulance officers as well as a sick patient.
He said there was an association between the crashed vehicle and an address where there had been a party.
The 17, 18 and 25-year-old are facing a myriad of charges ranging from assault to obstruction of police and intentional damage.
