Three young men accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in an Auckland fast food restaurant have been sent for trial.
A 20-year-old, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were committed for trial following a depositions hearing at North Shore District Court yesterday.
The trio, who have name suppression, are accused of raping the schoolgirl in the men's toilets at the Burger King Restaurant in Takapuna on February 19.
Inquiry head Detective Sergeant Nadene Richmond said the three will next appear in the Auckland District Court on July 5 to have their trial date set.
The 17-year-old and 18-year-old were granted bail on strict conditions but the 20-year-old was remanded in custody.
