Angry with the woman who was in a relationship with her ex-husband, Hayley Ann Wilton aggressively confronted her twice - once outside her workplace and then in a Masterton cafe.
Before Judge Tony Walsh at the Masterton District Court on Thursday, the 36-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of behaving threateningly and was sentenced to 12 months' intensive supervision with a special condition to attend alcohol treatment programmes as directed by her probation officer.
The court heard Wilton had been sentenced to intensive supervision in July on a drink-driving conviction. She was also convicted of drink-driving in September 2013.
Lawyer Jock Blathwayt said his client was angry with the victim as she had accessed her personal information and circulated it. "She was very angry about that."
Wilton wanted to attend a residential treatment programme in Auckland, Mr Blathwayt said.
