It was Christmas time in the city for thousands who flocked to see the annual Auckland Farmers Santa Parade yesterday.
After bad weather postponed the parade last week, sunny skies opened up for a great day to celebrate its 85th birthday in the centre of the City of Sails.
Children of all ages dressed in sparkly numbers danced ahead of an array of dazzling floats and giant-sized characters from a giant Buzzy Bee to a huge Santa's elf and even a T-Rex dinosaur.
Each float had its own music blasting loudly; with a mix of the traditional Christmas hymns and carols, children's songs, Bollywood instrumentals and even Beyonce's Single Ladies heard.
