Brilliant sunshine and thousands of spectators lining the main street helped make for a spectacular Christmas Parade in Masterton on Saturday.
Classic Hits Wairarapa manager Rob Webb, parade co-ordinator and float judge, said the sunshine and crowd enthusiasm were in abundance for the parade, which featured about 35 floats.
The Masterton and Districts Brass Band led the parade and the Wairarapa Fern and Thistle Band also marched and played as part of the procession.
Mr Webb, who judged floats alongside Wairarapa Times-Age commercial manager Andrew Denholm, said the Lansdowne Kindergarten float, Tow Mater, was judged the best of the non-commercial floats.
The Jennian Homes float was named the best of the commercial entries to the parade, he said.
