Tasman Police are pleased with their haul of over 9000 cannabis pants, after the aerial leg of a year-long drug operation.
Covering Marlborough, Nelson Bays and the West Coast, officers managed to find far more plants than last year. Large commercial outdoor plots have been found this year, as well as a number of indoor growing operations.
Thirteen people are facing drug and gun charges and further arrests are expected. Around 6000 plants were found around Marlborough and Nelson, and the other 3000 were growing on the West Coast.
