Four properties featured on TV3's runaway success series The Block will be open for public viewing. Thousands are expected to turn out to open homes on August 25 and September 1 at the properties in Anzac St, Takapuna.
Road closures and council-approved safety plans will be in place for the fans who want to walk around the four properties. The homes go under the hammer in a live televised final on September 6.
TV3 publicity manager Rachel Lorimer said it was the public's first chance to check out The Block houses. "Those who go along will get a sneak peek of finished rooms and exteriors which have not yet been revealed on TV," Lorimer said. Most of the contestants will be there.
For the serious buyers, private viewings will begin this weekend. Bayleys' Scott Cordes said the properties were expected to attract a lot of buyer interest.
TV3 has also announced The Block has been sold into Australia and will begin screening tonight.
