New Zealand thoroughbred Frodo Baggins - named after the hobbit character and the leading Dark Rider horse in the Lord of the Rings films - has been euthanised in the US after a fall.
He was one of two horses put down after injuries during the Kentucky Three-Day Event at the weekend. His American rider Laine Ashker suffered multiple injuries.
