Thousands turned out to a public exhibition of sugary treats in Masterton over the weekend, when the Wairarapa Cake Decorators Guild hosted a national conference.
President Beth Fuge said it was the first time the guild had hosted the annual New Zealand Cake Decorators Guild conference, and they were pleased with how the event ran.
The public had the opportunity to see a display of cakes, with this year's theme of daffodils, and other cake decorations.
Mrs Fuge said in her 11 years of cake decorating, the calibre of cakes just kept getting better.
"The response has been absolutely amazing," she said.
