Jennian Homes Wairarapa has been named Franchisee of the Year at the 31-year-old building company's annual conference held last week.
It's the first time Jennian Homes Wairarapa managing director Gareth Norris has won the award, after being named a finalist in 2011 and again in 2012.
Mr Norris says receiving the award is extremely satisfying and great recognition for the effort he and his team have put into the business and local community in recent years.
Last year, Mr Norris helped to raise $80,000 for new Ronald McDonald House facilities in Wellington with the construction and auction of a home in Carterton.
This year, Jennian Homes Wairarapa and the Masterton Host Waipoua Lions Club raised $6800 towards the construction of a children's playground at Henley Lake when they built and raffled a playhouse.
