Third south Auckland lottery millionaire in a month

It seems there is something in south Auckland's water after a hat-trick of lottery multi-millionaire wins in the district in the past month.

Big Wednesday was won last night by a ticket bought in Manukau.

The prize was worth $4.8 million, made up of $3 million cash, an Audi R8, a Porsche Cayenne, a Visa Platinum card loaded with $250,000, $250,000 towards luxury travel, and $750,000 cash towards a bach.

The ticket was bought from Crandall Peters Paper Plus in Manukau.

This win comes a month after a Papakura pig hunter took away Powerball's largest win of $28.7 million, followed two weeks later by a $5.4 million Powerball win by a Manukau truck driver.
