Third pack-rape appeal

A third man from the Mt Maunganui pack-rape case has appealed against his convictions and the 8 1/2-year jail term he received.

The 47-year-old, who has name suppression, was found guilty by a jury in the High Court at Wellington of two charges of rape and one each of abduction and sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection resulting from an incident more than 16 years ago.

Two other men have already filed their appeals.
