KEY POINTS:
National MP Nick Smith believes he was also covertly recorded at his party's conference last weekend.
His colleagues Bill English and Lockwood Smith have already had private conversations from the event made public, sparking allegations from Labour that the comments show National has a secret agenda.
National claims an undercover Labour activist recorded the conversations, but Labour denies any involvement.
Dr Smith has revealed he was approached by someone claiming to be a Young Nat who asked him a lot of questions about Nuclear policy.
"He pretended he was a big fan of nuclear power. I reflect on the events that have occurred since and think it was just the Labour Party plant who was attempting to entrap."
Dr Smith says the incident marks a decline of political standards in New Zealand.
