KEY POINTS:
London police have arrested a third man in connection with the murder of Hawke's Bay woman Catherine Marlow.
The man, 26, was released on police bail pending further inquiries, Detective Chief Inspector Damian Allain said in a statement last night.
Mr Allain released further details of Miss Marlow's last hours in the hope of receiving clues from the public that will lead to catching her killer.
The 28-year-old was found in a pool of blood in a shower cubicle at her office on January 13.
Speaking at the murder scene yesterday, Mr Allain detailed Miss Marlow's movements from leaving home to the time her handbag was found on the street in South London.
He said in a statement police believed Miss Marlow left her home just after 9am on January 13 and walked to work, stopping at a shop on the way.
Miss Marlow had arranged to meet a friend at 2pm but did not arrive.
Her friend was the last person known to have spoken to Miss Marlow, just after 1.30pm.
Mr Allain said police believed she had been attacked on her way out of her office between 1.36pm and 2pm.
He asked anyone who had seen her handbag, or seen someone carrying the handbag and acting suspiciously to contact police.
Three men have been arrested in connection with the murder.
Daniel Kennedy, 38, who was filmed on CCTV using Miss Marlow's credit card, has pleaded guilty to theft and remanded for sentence.
The 28-year-old who found Miss Marlow's body and called police, was later arrested and questioned before being released without charge.
