A third guard at Christchurch Men's Prison has been put on leave while the Corrections Department investigates claims of staff smuggling contraband to inmates.
The suspension follows the firing of one guard and the suspension of another from the prison this month.
Two others were suspended at the start of the year while Corrections investigated similar smuggling claims.
