KEY POINTS:
A third person has died over the weekend after a fatal crash in Northland in the early hours of Friday morning.
Kayla Gwen Goodhue, 19, was a passenger in a car that crashed while travelling towards Ahipara at 12.20am on the Kaitaia-Awaroa Rd.
She was airlifted to Hospital and put on life-support but died on Saturday night.
Two others died at the scene and police have also released their names. They are Odel Everitt, 21, and Penaia Waenga, 25, both from the Far North.
Senior Sergeant Gordon Gunn said on Friday that a fourth person left the scene before police and ambulance arrived. He said early indications suggested alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
