A third attempt will be made today to lift two injured trampers out of the Tararua Ranges.
The 50-year old man injured his knee, and his daughter hurt her foot while tramping from the Mangahao Dam to Te Matawai Hut, on Saturday.
They're comfortable, but last night was their third night stuck at the hut.
Their two companions managed to get out yesterday, with the help of search and rescue staff.
Attempts by the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter yesterday and on Sunday to reach the injured pair were abandoned thanks to the weather.
