A third arrest has been made over an alleged "vampire" attack in Wellington.
James Eric Orr, 19, appeared in Napier District Court court yesterday in relation to the alleged attack in which a teenager was bitten and had his blood drunk, the Dominion Post reported.
It said the teen spent days in hospital afterwards fighting infection and fever.
His lawyer said Orr denied any involvement in the attack.
James Phillip Brooks, 22, and Xenia Gregoriana Borichevsky, 19, appeared in Wellington District Court on Wednesday.
The trio have been charged with wounding with intent to render a man unconscious in Mt Victoria, on February 20 - the charge carries a penalty of 14 years imprisonment.
The alleged victim told police he was bitten by three people and had his blood drunk. He is understood to have passed out after the attack.
Yesterday Orr was also charged with possession of a knife, possession of prescription drugs, and failing to appear in court.
He was remanded on bail and will reappear in Wellington District Court, along with Brooks and Borichevsky on June 3.
