Thieves with a conscience returned the ashes of twin baby boys they found in luggage they stole on Saturday.
A Canadian family on holiday parked their car for an hour in a Lower Hutt schoolground and were distraught to find their luggage, including an urn with the ashes of their twins, had disappeared.
Police said the ashes were returned anonymously.
The babies had been born prematurely in Australia three months ago.
