Claire Robbie used to front gritty news reports on TV3. But in Los Angeles, she has carved out a niche as party planner to the stars.
The New Zealander was responsible for organising Victoria Beckham's pink-themed baby shower, attended by famous guests including Demi Moore, Nicole Richie, Selma Blair and Eva Longoria.
Robbie is living in Hollywood with her husband Dominic Bowden, who is TVNZ's Los Angeles correspondent and is working with Simon Cowell behind the scenes on hit show The X-Factor.
But Robbie was behind the scenes at an even more glamorous occasion.
She planned and co-ordinated the English garden tea party-themed baby shower for Beckham and 30 guests in the private rooftop Butterfly Bar at West Hollywood's Hotel Le Petit Ermitage. Beckham, 37, is seven-months pregnant with a baby girl.
She already has three boys - Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 6 - with husband and football star David Beckham.
"All she wanted was anything pink," a source told People magazine. "She's so excited to finally have a girl."
The party had tables decorated with pink chairs, pink tablecloths, light pink hydrangeas, red roses and pink daisies.
Guests ate princess cake with pink marzipan and played party games like making dresses out of toilet paper and picking up water balloons with their chins.
One of the guests presented Beckham, formerly Posh Spice, with a Sweet Pea and Jasmine candle from New Zealand company Ecoya's home fragrance collection.
She had requested pink gifts only, and got a pink Quinny Buzz Special Edition stroller, a mamaRoo baby swing, a pink Hoppop Bath tub, a pink Little Giraffe Luxe Blanket, a Timi and Leslie diaper bag and a 150cm custom-made giraffe by Melissa and Doug.
She spoke about the party hosted by her friends Eva Longoria and hair stylist Ken Paves on Twitter.
"Such a lovely day!!!thank u so much @EvaLongoria and @KenPaves for being such wonderful friends. Baby showers are so much fun!!!!!!!x vb," she wrote.
Beckham arrived wearing a purple dress, and shared a photo of her and fellow expectant mother Selma Blair wrapped up in toilet paper designs on Twitter with the caption, "So much fun!!!!!!"
