Sick of city rents and the hustle and bustle of the Big Smoke?
One man is offering a nature alternative claiming it'll be cosier than your old rental home.
The catch? Well, you'd have to get yourself to Wanaka.
Morgan Knoesen has advertised a tiny Nano pod house to rent situated on a property that is self-sustainable.
"Ever wanted to try living off the grid and connect with nature?" he wrote on Facebook.
"The design of this Nano pod was inspired by all the waste materials around Wanaka and is insulated with wool which keeps it cosier than most of the old rental homes in Wanaka."
On the property they grow most of their own food and have chickens roaming free to suit your fried-egg cravings.
Knoesen said on Facebook the property runs on solar-powered electricity and they're trying to create a "sustainable living environment based on Permaculture principles."
Permaculture is an approach to designing human settlements that mimic those in natural ecologies. The three main permaculture ethics are: care for the earth, care for people and take only your fair share.
As for the property, the rent includes electricity and access to an internet hotspot.

Rent for singles is just $135 per week and $175 for couples.
The minimum stay is one week, and is available from May until June 7.
