Sunshine awaits most of New Zealand tomorrow.
It's welcome news for holidaymakers this long weekend after rain and windy conditions hit parts of Auckland, the Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Waikato, the West Coast and Southland today.
Wellington, the Horowhenua and parts of Taranaki were being bathed in sunshine. A mid-afternoon high of 19C was recorded in Taumarunui, while Gisborne had the national low of 12.1C
WeatherWatch analyst Philip Duncan said most of the North Island would enjoy sunshine over the next two days, with temperatures set to be in the mid-to-late teens tomorrow, before reaching the early 20s on Monday.
Sunshine is also being forecast for much of the South Island.
