David Parker
* Resigned yesterday as Attorney-General after admitting filing a false statement to the Companies Office.
* Remains Transport and Energy Minister.
Taito Phillip Field
* September 2005: Stood down from the posts of Associate Minister for Pacific Island Affairs, Justice, and Social Development and Employment while a work permit application for a Thai overstayer who tiled his house in Samoa is investigated.
David Benson-Pope
* May 2005: Stood down from the posts of Fisheries Minister and Associate Minister of Education, Environment and Justice while police investigated allegations that he assaulted students while he was a teacher.
* Reinstated to the Cabinet (but not education portfolio) three weeks later.
John Tamihere
* November 2004: Resigned his portfolios following reports that he accepted a golden handshake when he left the Waipareira Trust in West Auckland in 1999 to become an MP.
* Cleared by investigations by Wellington QC Douglas White and the Serious Fraud Office.
* Not reinstated to the Cabinet.
Lianne Dalziel
* February 2004: Resigned as Immigration Minister after misleading the media over leaked documents about a controversial immigration case to the media.
* Reinstated: October 2005.
Harry Duynhoven
* July 2003: Associate Energy and Associate Transport Minister outside Cabinet. Ministerial powers temporarily suspended after he inadvertently broke electoral law by renewing his Dutch citizenship. Parliament passed legislation to ensure he did not have to quit as a member of Parliament.
* Retains his ministerial roles.
Marian Hobbs
* February 2001: Resigned from the posts of Broadcasting Minister and Environment Minister when an inquiry into her housing allowance claims started.
* Reinstated a month later.
Phillida Bunkle (Alliance)
* February 2001: Resigned as Consumer Affairs Minister after becoming embroiled in a housing and allowances scandal similar to that of Ms Hobbs.
* Cleared, but never reappointed.
Ruth Dyson
* October 2000: Resigned as Disability Issues Minister and Associate ACC Minister after being caught drink-driving. Fined $600 and lost her licence for six months.
* Reinstated June 2001.
Dover Samuels
* June 2000: Sacked as Maori Affairs Minister over allegations of sexual misconduct. A police investigation ended with no charges being laid.
* August 2002: Partially reinstated when he was made a minister outside the Cabinet.
