Recovery down to workers: Chrysler boss
Sergio MarchionneTurning Chrysler around in the midst of the global financial crisis was a long shot that other CEOs wouldn't "have touched with a 10-foot pole", said Fiat-Chrysler chief Sergio Marchionne on US television. Marchionne knew the odds were against saving the No3 US carmaker, but he decided to take the risk with the help of a US government rescue package. He said the fear he saw in Chrysler workers' faces when he arrived in 2009 disappeared as the turnaround proceeded.

Prius C outperforms rivals on shop floor
Toyota says the Prius C has become one of its "fastest-selling" vehicles worldwide.
In the US, the 1.5-litre hatchback hybrid racked up 1201 sales in its first three days on the market.
Its 1.8-litre big brother Prius sold 8400 units in the US in its first 10 weeks. Toyota points out that the 1201 sales of the Prius C are more than the all-electric Nissan Leaf or the hybrid Chevrolet Volt chalked up in a month.
The Prius C goes on sale here tomorrow. Toyota says it has already received orders from customers.
Citroen's DS9 goes large in Paris before its official debut
Citroen's new top-end car has been spotted at a photoshoot in Paris ahead of its official debut at this month's Beijing motor show. The DS9 is a large - think Mercedes-Benz S-Class - four-door coupe charged with spearheading a new DS range specifically for China. It follows on from the DS3 mini and DS4 and DS5 crossovers. It is likely to be powered by a hybrid petrol-electric set-up offering four-wheel drive. The car will be built as part of Citroen's venture with the Changan Automotive Group in Guangdong Province and sold exclusively in China.

* The US city of Pittsburgh is hiking property values in order to raise much-needed tax revenue. In the first wave of assessments, a lawyer was stunned to find his apartment had suddenly jumped US$55,000 ($67,000) in value to US$228,700 - and his private parking space in the building, previously valued at US$5000, was now "worth" $287,800.
